The Organising Committee of eCom21, traditionally spearheaded by Rietumu Bank, has reached an agreement with international payment processor ECommPay, who will act as General Partner of the forum.
The IV International Conference eCom21 is regular feature on the e-Commerce business calendar, attracting specialists from across the globe for a two-day symposium. Held in Riga, Latvia, eCom21 will take place on the 19-20th November.
ECommPay Operations Director Dmitry Sinkovich had the following to say about ECommPay’s involvement:
“We will invariably continue to support the organisers and promote participation in the eCom21 conference. The importance of eCom21 as an annual professional communication platform cannot be overstated.”
According to Mr. Sinkovich, it is a rare occurrence that such efficient communications and a productive exchange take place. Over just several days in Riga, recognised representatives of the e-Commerce industry coordinate business practices and share insight into the moods and trends of the e-Commerce marketplace.
“There is no event in Eastern Europe which can compare with eCom21, where market players from not only Russia and the CIS countries, but also the entire world, are represented quite as vividly,” claims Sinkovich when asked to characterise the conference.
As an innovative payment processor, ECommPay is closely familiar with the various spheres of advanced online services represented at eCom21. The company is a longstanding partner of the Riga forum eCom21, actively participating in discussions and sharing observations.
Sinkovich believes that the top priorities in e-Commerce are now service quality, innovation of technological solutions, business focus of the payment function, and high-risk competency. In his words, “…the reason for ECommPay’s success is our timely understanding that the mere fact of acquiring and acceptance of online payments stopped being a competitive advantage a long time ago.”
The topic of this year’s conference is “eCom21 – Payment Processing. Acceptance of Payments. E-Commerce Evolution.” Forum participants will discuss the features and perspectives of a new entity – non-banking institutions operating online – which can considerably change the payment business in the future, depriving traditional banks of their leading positions.
There will be a number of key industry leaders presenting at the forum eCom21 , such as the Executive Director of the Bitcoin Foundation, Jon Matonis; the leading Scandinavian expert on the e-Commerce industry, Simon Sanebak; representatives of Alfa-Bank & Rietumu Bank, Yandex.Money, PayOnline, QIWI Group, Bit Pay, Web Money Europe, 2 Chek Out, Unified Payments, and other Russian and Western market leaders.
