ECommPay’s Michael C.G. Charalambides on eCom21: “the future is e-Commerce”
October 20, 2015

Director of ECommPay Cyprus, Michael C.G. Charalambides, will share his insights as a speaker at eCom21, discussing external forces affecting the e-Commerce industry and analyzing the interrelationship between the physical economy and its electronic successor.

This year’s eCom21 conference is titled “Processing. Payment Acceptance. Evolution of E-Commerce.” A vast array of e-Commerce specialists will gather in Riga, Latvia, on November 19-20 to discuss the role of banking institutions in payment processing, the advantages and disadvantages of online payment providers in contrast to traditional banks, consumer lending online, and many more hot topics within the industry.

ECommPay, acting as General Partner of eCom21, will be represented at the forum by Michael C.G. Charalambides, the Regional Director of its Cyprus office. A thought leader and expert in the sphere of online payments, Michael has vast experience in both payment processing and business development strategy.

Before accepting the position of ECommPay Regional Director, Michael worked on behalf of banks and financial institutions. He introduced the second acquirer into Cyprus, stimulating both brick-n-mortar and the e-Commerce sectors. He has likewise participated in the creation and innovation of financial instruments, popularizing e-Commerce within Cyprus and promoting the industry globally.

“One thing is certain,” believes Michael, “this world is ever-changing – the industry used to be divided into physical economy/currency and e-Commerce/e-Money, which can now be characterized as two sides of the same coin. One cannot change without affecting the other.”

At eCom21, he welcomes participants to analyse how the ever-changing economy and geopolitical forces change the digital, e-Commerce, and e-Money dimensions. “The electronic economy is a fact,” Michael explains, “but its regulation and unyielding identification is not.”

If you are interested in participation at eCom21, whether it be as a sponsor or as a speaker, please get in touch with ECommPay today. We will be happy to help you register and/or to select a sponsorship package most suitable for your needs.
