OVERVIEW OF GAMESCOM 2017
August 25, 2017

Gamescom 2017 proved, definitively, that the Cologne-based digital gaming trade fair has earned its label of “The Heart of Gaming”. As German Chancellor Angela Merkel emphasised during her speech at the official opening ceremony, “computer and video games are of the utmost importance as cultural assets, as a driving force for innovation and as an economic factor.”

Veteran gamescom exhibitor ECommPay is in full agreement. This year, the international payment solutions provider welcomed visitors for complimentary drinks, offering a tailored consultation on gaming payment solutions and strategies, as well as an exchange of industry observations, trends, and insights.

The ECommPay team also took part in devcom, the primary game developers event and umbrella framework for a series of lectures focused on game development, game publishing, networking, and community building. Engaging industry specialists, ECommPay shared years of accumulated experience and expertise by discussing the role payments place in facilitating access to new regions.

If you didn’t catch ECommPay at gamescom and would like to learn more about payment solutions tailored to the gaming industry, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
