Ecommpay supports London's small business community through Grow London Local

Partnership with Mayor of London's flagship support programme helps London's most underrepresented entrepreneurs unlock revenue

Inclusive global payments platform and small business payments expert, Ecommpay, is partnering with Grow London Local to provide SMEs with valuable insights and support around payments. Investing in London's small business community through the Mayor of London's flagship support programme, London-headquartered Ecommpay will be a hands-on resource for small businesses, available through the Grow London Local website, events, consultations and the platform's provider directory.

There are an estimated 1 million+ SMEs in London, with 1 in 4 London businesses facing financial vulnerability . The UK Government's Small Business Plan (August 2025) prioritised access to finance and digital skills as top SME growth levers, and The Mayor's London Growth Plan (2025) identifies payment and finance access as a critical enabler of inclusive SME growth across London's boroughs.

“With the overwhelming majority of businesses we support coming from underrepresented communities, Grow London Local has a strong mandate for inclusive entrepreneurship,” commented Vanesa Perez Sanchez, Director of Small Business Service Delivery.

"The launch of our Grow London Local Money Hub in April 2026 marked an important step towards our strategic priority of improving access to funding and strengthening financial literacy. Payments are central to this, and this partnership will help us advance that ambition.

“As a payment platform dedicated to increasing financial inclusion, Ecommpay is perfectly placed to support London’s small businesses with guidance and tips on all things payments. Embedded in the Grow London Local support ecosystem across digital, in-person, and events channels, Ecommpay will provide practical resources and guidance to micro and small businesses across London.”

Through Ecommpay, SMEs and micro businesses can increase the range of payment solutions available to their customers, without the usual complexity or high cost of implementation.

Ecommpay’s self-serve payments platform is designed for UK-registered small businesses selling online.  At the heart of the new platform is the capability to go live quickly after onboarding is complete, using the Ecommpay Hosted Payment Page, at a transparent transaction rate and without any volume threshold. Plus businesses can utilise payment links and e-invoicing so that they can accept card payments without a website or till and take phone and mail order payments via a virtual payment terminal -

"Ecommpay is headquartered in London, and we are proud to be able to support other local London businesses as they grow and expand their customer bases,” explained Max Ryzhov, Chief Product Officer at Ecommpay. “Committed to reducing friction and increasing access to a wider range of payment solutions, we have built solutions that help drive business revenue for communities that would usually face barriers within payments access.

“Sharing Grow London Local’s vision and commitment to unlocking revenue for small businesses we are making enterprise-grade tools available to micro and small businesses, removing one of the biggest barriers to small business growth – complex and costly payment infrastructure. We are delighted to be able to share our expertise with London businesses through this partnership, enabling them to break down barriers and succeed locally, nationally and internationally.”
