Ecommpay’s Chief Marketing Officer named in the Women in FinTech Powerlist 2024
Miranda McLean, Chief Marketing Officer for inclusive global payments platform, Ecommpay, has been included in the Innovate Finance Women in FinTech Powerlist for the second consecutive time. This prestigious recognition highlights Miranda’s exceptional contributions to the FinTech sector and her unwavering commitment to diversity and inclusion within the financial services industry and beyond.
Now in its ninth year, the Innovate Finance Women in FinTech Powerlist 2024 celebrates some of the outstanding women changing the FinTech and Financial Services ecosystem in the UK and globally. Miranda is one of 31 marketing and communications experts chosen by a panel of independent judges to be commended in the list. The cohort of inspirational women will be celebrated at a dedicated Innovate Finance event in London on 13th March.
Miranda joined Ecommpay at the beginning of 2024, strengthening the representation of women in senior leadership. She has spearheaded initiatives to enhance equity, diversity, and inclusion across the company’s services and internal operations, beginning with the rebranding of the company and relaunch of a more accessible and inclusive website. She also launched an ongoing inclusivity programme, Ecommpay for Good, which aims to improve accessibility for Ecommpay employees, clients and partners as well as to help other businesses transform their own operations to enhance inclusivity across the board.
“I am deeply honoured to be recognised within the Women in FinTech Powerlist once again alongside so many other incredible and outstanding women driving innovation and demonstrating leadership in everything FinTech” said Miranda McLean. “I firmly believe that the FinTech sector thrives on diversity and inclusion, and I am committed to championing the skills and expertise of all individuals. I am excited to continue driving positive change within Ecommpay and the wider FinTech community in the journey towards financial inclusivity for all.”
Miranda’s dedication extends beyond her role at Ecommpay. Since 2019, she has served pro-bono on the Executive Board of the European Women Payments Network (EWPN), helping to grow the community to over 12,000 members across Europe. Martha Mghendi-Fisher, founder of EWPN, praised Miranda’s “skill and dedication to championing minorities, especially women, in the payments industry,” describing her contributions as “inspirational and invaluable.”
In addition to her work with EWPN, Miranda is a member of The Payments Association Editorial Board and a lead on Project ESG, promoting sustainable strategies within FinTech companies. Her commitment to empowering women in FinTech is further demonstrated through her involvement with the Money20/20 RiseUp Programme, plus she serves as an Advisory Board member of the FinTech B2B Marketing Community, mentoring marketing professionals and driving community growth.
